Flax Fiber 3D - In-Studio
Fiber in 3D is a comprehensive and creative 3-day in-studio workshop experience designed for those eager to delve into the intricate art of making stunning sculptures using flax fiber paper and a variety of natural materials. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating nature of flax fiber paper, gain hands-on experience in mould making, and experiment with unique inclusions that enhance their artistic creations. Please note that my studio space is intentionally limited to only 4 participants, ensuring a focused and personalized learning environment for everyone involved.
Workshop Details:
Learn how to transform flax roving into textured paper
Design and create reusable moulds with wire mesh and plaster cloth
Learn about inclusions for your creations
Apply surface embellishment with ink, dye and stitching on your dried sculpture
All skill levels are welcome.
What’s Included:

All materials and tools.
You will have your handcrafted fiber sculpture to take home at the end of the workshop. Please make shipping arrangements if necessary.
Location:
Paper Rain Studio is located in Arroyo Hondo, a rural community just minutes north of Taos, NM. The studio is easily accessible off Hwy 522.
Transportation:
Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Taos
Car rental necessary from your arrival airport
Studio:
The large south-facing windows with natural light, trees and views of the valley inspire creativity and inspiration.
