New Chapter…New Work
Feeling gratitude for my creative journey that continues to present opportunities for personal development. As the deadline for the Taos Studio Tour approached, I felt a hint of autumn in the air; a time when the equinox light begins to change. A time when the space between seems more alive.
With these outer influences, my psyche followed suite creating a new series of work . . . alkemi … bringing together materiality in new form. I’m excited about this new series and I look forward to what will emerge in my new home/studio in big sky country along the Turquoise Trail in southern Santa Fe.
The move to “town” has been percolating for sometime. I was hesitant but eventually opened my heart and mind to the idea of living in a lower elevation, a warm and cozy house in wide open space . . . the little casita presented herself. Moving day arrived during torrential storms. It was cathartic and transformational to say the least. As I acclimate, downsize and reset my “view”, I’m struck by the sense of coming full circle and the questions about what is the driving force behind this creative’s life choices.
Change is the only constant. I vow to become it. To be OK with it. To continue to pay attention and walk with heart and meaning.
