During the warmer months, from June through October, the art of hand papermaking is taught outdoors, providing a comfortable and inspiring environment. In the cooler months, from November to May, the retreat shifts to flax fiber papermaking, which brings a distinctive texture and technique to your work. Both workshop intensives include a sculptural component, tailored to your personal focus and artistic intentions, ensuring a rich and nuanced creative journey.

The comprehensive 4-day intensive workshop includes all necessary materials, step-by-step demonstrations, expert instruction, and thoughtfully curated supportive materials such as papermaking journals, extensive resource lists, and a selection of inspirational books and magazines.
Studio Hours: 9am to 5pm each day, providing ample time for creative exploration.
What’s Included:
$1850 includes all materials, instruction and demonstrations. Additionally, a comfortable guest room with a private bath and meals prepared together in my vegan and gluten free kitchen.
$1500 includes all materials, instruction and demonstrations, lunch, coffee, tea and snacks.
