Materiality: Collage & Fiber Sculpture - ONLINE

$290.00

A foragers delight…using found materials to explore the art of creating fiber collage and sculpture in a hands-on, engaging environment.

The 2-day workshop allows time to develop a form or mould using wire, cardboard or found objects for casting the flax paper. We will also spend time making collage with inclusions that can also be cast or not. The idea is to give people time to think about the form and ways to  create an armature or moulds with simple materials. For example, I love nests and autumn is the perfect time to collect willow. I want to encourage people to collect materials from their natural environment as a way of integrating forms found in nature for inspiration.
