Fiber Art and Sculpture

Jacqueline Mallegni ::: Paper Rain Studio

Yesterday was the first morning the birdbath water wasn’t frozen…could it be Spring is around the corner? Probably not yet here in the high desert, but I’m enjoying how the light has shifted with warmer days. Spring wind has arrived as a sign that she’s on her way.

As promised to my newsletter readers, I am embarking on a new adventure - blog writing.
Warmer days approaching has motivated me to open my studio to In-Person workshops. The first one is March 13-15. Flax Fiber Papermaking for Sculpture. Be sure to watch for news about summer Hand Papermaking with Abaca and Kozo Fiber.

How do I stay in the present moment? By immersing myself in creative process I make an effort to appreciate each moment as it comes. I read a comment on IG today asking the question about the benefit of tedious work. I believe it’s truly a means of interweaving my interior landscape with the exterior one that can be so beguiling and distracting.

If your in the area, remember that studio visits are always open by appointment. Contact me here or leave a comment below. I’d love to hear from you.
Thank you for following my journey.

Warm Best,
Jacqueline
