What’s Been Happening…

Happy Summer…I hope you’re doing something fun!

I just finished a chandelier commission! It was challenging returning to custom lighting after a ten-year hiatus. After several prototypes I came to a new way of working with the electric components in a more organic way. The result was very satisfying, and the patron is very happy with it. I’m looking forward to seeing photos of ‘wind dancer’ in its new home at a Chicago loft.

I am thoroughly delighted and honored to be included in the “On Which It Rests” exhibition at the Dean Porter Gallery in Taos. OWIR is a themed exhibition collaboratively presented by the Taos Abstract Artist Collective and Course-Sharp Historic Site. There were over 250 submissions, 21 pieces of artwork were selected - “Chrysalis” was one of them. The exhibition runs until August 30. Visit the website for details.

I’m in the process of developing a new series of work for the Taos Studio Tour this Labor Day Weekend. Open studio events are a fun way of meeting new folks in the community. If you’re in the area I hope you’ll stop by.

Workshops online and in-person continue taking me right up to September when I leave for France. I’m sure you can imagine my excitement about offering a 6-day residential workshop retreat in France .… I’ll spend time after the workshop to visit the Basque Country where my great grandparents are from. There are two spaces open if you’d like to take a dive into your creative process with natural materials. This is a very special opportunity to live and work in the medieval village of Sauveterre-de-Béarn perched above the Gave d'Oloron and facing the Pyrenees in south-western France. All materials, lodging and exquisite meals are included.

Follow the bliss of each precious moment.

Warm best,

Jacqueline
