wind & thorns take two

As I prepare for my road trip to the west coast next month, I’m remembering my annual migration…from sand to sea…
The Wind & Thorns series emerged after a year or two living in Abiquiu…an attempt to reconcile living in the desert. It’s enlightening to visit old work and see the dots connect through a pattern language invoked by memories.

Below are images of the first wind & thorns, 2015 and the recent expression feels accepting of things as they are, still evoking the prickly desert floor.
